Steal risk inputs

Enter the two Speed readings from your own runs. The tool compares them and suggests a buffer; it never supplies a guard or player Speed.

How to use this reading

Start with a run that worked. Enter the Speed you had when you last carried an egg home safely — that is your baseline. Then enter the Speed your character shows now.

The margin is the difference between the two, and the reading says whether you are still above your own proven Speed. Nothing here describes an opponent: the tool cannot see another player's Speed, because no reliable source publishes it.

How the suggested buffer is derived

The buffer is a share of your measured round trip: 15 percent while you are at least 10 percent above your baseline, 25 percent inside a narrow band, and 40 percent once you have dropped below it.

Type your own buffer at any time and the tool switches to your number. Treat the suggestion as a starting point for a session plan, not as a claim about game risk or cooldown behaviour.

Formula & limits

Speed margincurrent Speed − baseline Speed
Suggested bufferround trip × 0.15 comfortable · × 0.25 tight · × 0.40 below baseline
Reading bands+10% or more comfortable · within ±10% tight · below −10% below baseline

The margin and the bands are site heuristics built on your own two readings, not game mechanics. Carry weight is recorded for your notes and never converted into a penalty, because no verified weight-to-Speed table exists.

FAQ

What does the risk reading mean?

It compares your current Speed with the Speed you recorded on a run that succeeded. A negative margin means you are now slower than your own proven baseline. It is not a prediction about any guard or player.

Where does the guard Speed value come from?

Nowhere. No official source publishes guard or player Speed values, so this tool never invents one. Every number it uses comes from your own runs.

What is the escape buffer?

The extra seconds you want on top of your tightest successful return. The tool suggests a value from your own margin and lets you overwrite it at any time.

Does carrying a heavier egg change the result?

The game ties carry weight to the egg you hold, but no verified weight-to-Speed table exists. Record the weight for your own notes and treat it as a personal observation rather than a computed penalty.

Can this tool guarantee a safe steal?

No. It is a record of your own measurements. Other players, route decisions and server conditions stay outside every calculation on this page.
