Steal An Egg Route Planner: Round Trip, Buffer & Runs Per Hour
Break one run into the segments you actually measured, keep the escape buffer separate, and read the cycle time, the runs per hour and the slack your route still has.
Route segments
Enter the seconds you measured for each part of one run. The planner adds them up and keeps your escape buffer separate from the raw route.
How to build the plan
Time one run in three parts: the leg to the egg, the moment spent grabbing it, and the leg back. Enter each in seconds. When a segment varies, use your worst recent value rather than an average.
The cycle time is that sum, and runs per hour divides it into an hour. The figure only holds if every run succeeds, which is why the buffer sits beside the cycle instead of inside it.
Why the buffer stays separate
A failed return costs the whole run, so the buffer is exactly the part you spend to avoid that. Keeping it out of the raw cycle shows how much slack a route has before it breaks.
Set the buffer from the smallest margin you have survived, then check whether the hourly figure still fits your session length. The planner does not invent a risk value for you.
Formula & limits
The planner only adds and divides the segments you measured. It never supplies a route time, and the hourly figure assumes every run comes home, so read it as a ceiling rather than a target.
FAQ
How is the run time calculated?+
It adds your outbound seconds, pickup seconds and return seconds, then shows the same total with your escape buffer included. Nothing is estimated on your behalf.
Why keep the buffer separate from the run time?+
The buffer is the part you can lose to another player or a wrong turn. Showing it apart from the raw segments reveals how much slack a route really has before a run fails.
What is a realistic buffer?+
Record the smallest margin you had on a run that still succeeded, then reuse that value. The planner does not supply a number because no official source publishes risk or cooldown data.
Does the planner know the map or a best route?+
No. Route choice stays yours. The planner only converts the segment times you measured into a schedule you can repeat.
Is the runs-per-hour figure a target?+
It is an arithmetic ceiling, not advice. A failed return costs more than the run it saved, so keep the buffer and treat the ceiling as an upper bound.
